THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT AND STRESS LEVEL WITH QUALITY OF LIFE IN TYPE II DM PATIENTS DI POLY DISEASE IN SENTRA MEDIKA HOSPITAL CIKARANG, 2022

According to WHO Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease or disorder characterized by high blood sugar levels and disturbances of carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism as a result of insulin function insufficiency. Insufficiency of insulin function is caused by a deficiency disorder of insulin production in the Langerhans beta cells of the pancreas gland, or a lack of responsiveness of the body's cells to insulin . Based on data from a preliminary study at the Sentra Medika Hospital in Cikarang, the results of interviews with 15 type II DM patients, 11 of them said that the lack of family support and stress levels caused a decrease in quality of life . This study aims to identify the frequency distribution of emotional support, reward support, instrumental distribution, information support, stress levels and quality of life in patients . This research method uses a quantitative method with an observational approach with a sample of 38 patients. The sample collection technique uses purposive sampling. The analysis used is the Chi-square test . The results of this study indicate a p value of 0.000 or <0.05 , so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between family support and quality life of type II DM patients internal medicine polyclinic at Sentra Medika Cikarang Hospital, Bekasi Regency, 2020 2. And the results were obtained with a p value of 0.002 or <0.05, which means that there is a relationship between the level of stress and the quality of life of type II DM sufferers in the polyclinic in Sentra Medika Hospital Cikarang Bekasi Regency in 2022 . Suggestions for the development of new programs such as a DM center, where one of its activities is implementing family empowerment in managing stress levels for the care of type II DM patients

HUBUNGAN LAMA PROGRAM TRANFUSI DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN THALASEMIA DI RUANG THALASEMIA RS. SENTRA MEDIKA CIKARANG TAHUN 2023 87 Halaman + 5 Tabel + 9 Lampiran ABSTRAK Thalasemia merupakan suatu fenomena gunung es, thalasemia merupakan penyakit hemolitik herediter yang disebabkan oleh gangguan sintesis hemoglobin di dalam sel darah merah. Menurut WHO, menyatakan bahwa penduduk dunia dengan genetic thalasemia sebesar 7% dan 40% diantaranya terdapat di negara Asia. Prevelansi Thalasemia di Indonesia mencapai 9.121 orang. Dari total sekitar 9 ribu penyandang Thalasemia secara nasional, sebanyak 40% atau 3.264 ada di Jawa Barat, Angka kejadian di Kabupaten Bekasi RS. Sentra Medika Cikarang merupakan rumah sakit rujukan pasien thalasemi yang menurut data periode Juli - Desember 2022 terjadi 432 kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Lama Program Tranfusi dengan Kualitas Hidup Pasien Thalasemia di Ruang Thalasemia RS. Sentra Medika Cikarang. Metode penelitian ini bersifat analitik kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus lemeshow yaitu dari seluruh populasi 178 didapatkan sebanyak 64 orang pasien thalasemia di RS. Sentra Medika Cikarang Tahun 2022. Analisis yang digunakan univariat dan bivariat dengan uji statistik menggunakan Chi-square. Hasil analisis bivariat ada hubungan antara lama program tranfusi dengan kualitas hidup pasien thalasemia dengan nilai P-Value 0,020. Kesimpulan ada hubungan antara lama program tranfusi dengan kualitas hidup pasien thalasemia. Saran penelitian ini bagi penderita lebih kooperatif lagi dalam menjalani terapi tranfusi yang rutin dan bagi tenaga kesehatan lebih edukatif dan bisa menjadi motivator bagi pasien dalam menjalani terapi transfusi. According to WHO states that the world population with genetic thalassemia is 7% and 40% of them are in Asia countries. The prevalence of thalassemia in Indonesia reached 9.121 people. Out of a total of araound 9.000 people with thalassemia nationally as much as 40% or 3.264 are in West Java. The incidence rate in Bekasi Reency, Sentra Medika Cikarang Hospital, is a referral hospital for thalassemia patients, which according to data for the period July - Desember 2022, 432 cases occured. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of the tranfusion program and the quality of life of thalassemia patients in the thalassemia ward at Sentra Medika Cikarang Hospital. This research method is quantitative analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study used the Lemeshow formula, namely from the entire population of 178, there were 64 thalassemia patients at Sentra Medika Cikarang Hospital in 2022. The analysis used univariate and bivariate with statistical tests using Chi-square. The result of bivariate analysis there is a realtionship between the duration of the tranfusion program and the quality of life of thalssemia patients with a P-Value 0,020. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the duration of the tranfusion progran and the quality of life of the thalassemia patients. The suggestion for this research is for patients to be more cooperative in undergoing routine transfusion theraphy and for health workers to be more educative and can be a motivator for patients undergoing tranfusion theraphy.
