ISPA umumnya berlangsung selama 14 hari. Suherman Medical University (UMS) GRADUATE STUDIES PROGRAM IN NURSING AND EDUCATION NURSING PROFESSION THESIS, 5 SEPTEMBER 2023 Name: Fikri Ramadhan NIM: 020319615 FACTORS RELATING TO PREVENTIVE BEHAVIORS OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS (ARI) IN MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN AT CIBINONG HEALTH CENTER IN 2023 ABSTRACT Background ISPA is a disease that attacks one or more parts of the respiratory tract from the nose (upper tract) to the alveoli (lower tract) including the adnexal tissue, such as the sinuses, middle ear cavity and pleura. ISPA generally lasts 14 days. What is included in upper respiratory tract infections are coughs, common cold, earache, sore throat, influenza, bronchitis and sinusitis, while infections that attack the lower respiratory tract such as the lungs, one of which is pneumonia. Objective: To identify factors that are related to the behavior of preventing acute respiratory infections (ARI) in mothers of preschool aged children at the Cibinong Community Health Center in 2023. Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational descriptive design which aims to describe the phenomenon of two variables namely the independent variable and the dependent variable and analyzing the relationship between the two variables. The choice of correlational descriptive method. The calculation in this study was total sampling with the population in this study being all mothers who had preschool children aged 3-6 years who suffered from ISPA at the Cibinong Community Health Center with a total of 40 people. . Results: Based on the results of research on factors related to behavior to prevent acute respiratory infections (ARI) in mothers who have pre-school aged children at the Cibinong health center, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between employment status, education, family income, knowledge, and family support with behavior to prevent acute respiratory infections (ARI), and there is no relationship between attitudes and motivation and behavior to prevent acute respiratory infections (ARI)
